“delightful place to bstay” i spent a week at riad tamlil and was really pleased we booked it. The location is fantastic. so close to the square and yet once you step inside it feels like a 100 miles away the riad is so tranquil and peaceful. It doesnt set out to be high end accomodation but i found it clean and comfy enough, with lovely friendly staff. Abdul went out of his way to make sure we were content. the taxi transfer they arranged for us was excellent, making sure we got there safly and comfortably. Room 4 was a basic twein room, witha small ensuite.we didnt use AC ,not sure if it worked but it is very high up and staff would need to turn in on for you. the room was secure with an authentic morroacn design. the riad garden was sweet and cool and populated with lovely birds. the terrace gaden was lovely and warm and ideal for breakfast, wfich included local maroc bread and jams, and a coffee and croisant. the staff were helpful in advising and guiding us and the tour guide they linked us to seemed to provide good well priced tours. dont beliweve any tourguides when they talk about accessibility, if you have limited health the morrocan and Uk understanding of suitable is different. if you have mobility problems pretty much all the riads will be difficult, but Tamlil, with a short 2 min walk to the square, which is full of taxis and toctocs is probably the best I could have got and real value for money. it also has a ground floor room, which is good and morrocan staircases are often steep and narrow. In the medina you cannot avoid uneven paths, but people are friendly and kind and I couldnt imagine a more comfortable stay than Tamlil. We felt very safe in the area Abdul provides cooking at a very reasonable price and his tagine was the best i had during my stay. I would definately return here and recommend it to friends.

Our stay in this Riad was so great, the staff was so helpful with tips to do and everything. It is so near the main square and in a safe area so you;ll never feel like you;ll have to walk to far or be scared on walking through dark alleys. They give the typical breakfast in morocco and they clean your room everyday which is great !

-Nice place made nicer you Adbdul- Riad is conveniently located near the main square and other attractions and easy to find. Though near the square it felt private and quiet and the rooms were comfy and neat. But best of all was Abdul, the lovely, manager, not on, y as his English impeccable, but he as the sweetest guys a great cook who made us a home-cooked dinn r whichweenjoyed in the dars garden. Thank you, Abdul, for making our stay memorable and warm.

A lovely Riad in the perfect location, batteries recharged and winter blues banished! “Just minutes from the main square it was very easy to get to, especially after a few hours walking round the Medina. Great to relax peacefully before going back out for more. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious enough for the two of us. Very clean and well maintained. Food was excellent, breakfasts filling. We arranged for dinner for two of the evenings and were very impressed with the quality and value for money, Abdul is an excellent cook!”

“kleines, sehr zentral gelegenes schoenes riad”
Schoenes, kleines riad...sehr zentral gelegen, aber sehr ruhig, in einer seitenstrasse, unheimlich nettes, hilfsbereites personal. Wuerde jederzeit wieder in dieses riad zurueckkommen...wahrscheinlich schon sehr bald.

Lovely stay This was the best riad we stayed in during our 10 days in Morocco. The location was central but the riad was really quiet and peaceful. Also, Abdul was the most helpful and honest person we met in Morocco. He answered all our questions about prices, places to visit, and where to eat. We wanted spices as a souvenir and he bought them in his village (better price than in the medina) and brought them to us at the riad the following day. We were so pleased we didn't want to leave!

“Great find in Marrakech”
We stayed in Marrakech for 4 days, spent 2 nights in Dar Tamlil and wish we had stayed longer. The location is great. Very quick access to Djemma el Fna square and other touristic sites in Medina. The room is cosy and comfortable. The roof terrace is lovely. But most important of all is the staff. Abdul is who made our stay in Dar Tamlil as enjoyable as it was. Marrakech is a very touristic city and there are many people out there in the Medina trying to take money from tourists by being dishonest. It is very important that you have someone local that you can trust, and don't need to second guess if the person has a connection with the place recommended. Abdul is that person for us. He gave us all the best information, from places to eat, rate of transportation, to best place to exchange our US dollars. He is welcoming, speaks good English, and is always polite and not pushy. A unique character that is rare to find on the street of Marrakech. We have stayed in other lovely Riads in other places in Morocco, but Abdul is what makes this place unique. We will stay in Dar Tamlil when we return to Marrakech without a question.

“Loved it!”
Stayed here last year with friends and forgotten I'd not written a review! Comes highly recommended from us, we loved our 2 night stay here. Great location just a few minutes walk from the main square. All the noise, buzz and general craziness of Marrakesh cannot be heard once inside though, it's like a little oasis of peace in the midst of chaos! Can be a little tricky to find at first so best to arrange a transfer with the owner and someone will escort you to the property. The room was spacious, decorated in typical Moroccan style with comfy beds. We enjoyed our complimentary mint tea in the tranquillity of the courtyard and the delicious fresh breakfasts on the roof terrace. The terrace itself is a great sun trap and offers fantastic views of the city. The staff were welcoming and always helpful with providing information. There are many Riads in Marrakesh with an almost unlimited choice of places to stay but there's no need to look any further than this one.

“Gute Lage, sehr ruhig, freunfliches Personal”
