“Great Value in City Centre” We first stayed here four years ago and our experience this time around was just as pleasurable. A little tricky to find in the maze of alleyways, but well worth the effort. Great staff, good room, fantastic rooftop breakfast. And brilliant value for money!

lovely place in the middle of the medina, minutes away from the jemna el fnaa.. not easy to find, but the directions on the webpage is helpfull... rooms are a bit dark, but the patio and the spacious terrasse make it up!! yummy breakfast in the chilled patio.. staff is super helpfull and very obliging, we even could leave our big backpack in the riad for a couple days, while we were off to the desert..

A small traditional Moroccan house at a very convenient location - just a few min walk from The Place - with very helpful staff, in particular, Abdul, who knows almost everything useful to a first timer in this amazing North African country.

“Comfortable and affordable hospitality!” Riad Dar Tamlil is a great place to stay in Marrakesh for a lot of reasons. First of all, its location is just steps away from Place Jemaa El Fna, so stopping by to drop off shopping or change shoes is really easy. Second, it is very clean, beautifully decorated and furnished, the included breakfast is delicious. And third, which may be very important for a lot of travellers, it is very affordable. Considering its location and service, I would say it is very very cheap! Unless the management changes, I wouldn't hesitate to book it any time.

“We cannot recommend this place enough!” The welcome, service and hospitality was fantastic - we were made to feel very special and it was a great start to our Morocco adventure. Comfort, facilities, convenience; all at a good price. It could not have been better.

“Excellent stay. Dar Tamlil is very close to Jemaa el Fna, very cute and clean, has friendly staff (especially Abdul) and beautiful traditional rooms. Doors lock. There is Wi-Fi. The breakfast is free and plentiful. Directions are clear, no need to use guides from the square. And all in all, Dar Tamlil is so cheap! Excellent value, great experience.”

Our stay in Dar Tamlil was enjoyable. The staff was too friendly and their mint tea was the best one in Morocco. The rooms and atmosphere of the hostel was great and reflects Morocco with its best details. The only problem we experienced was hot water but all other points in Dar Tamlil was wonderful. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay at Riad Tamlil. The location was nice, right in the center of all the hustle and bustle of the medina but inside it was a quiet retreat. Also, we enjoyed having our breakfast on the roof-top teraze. Our room was a little rustic, no white fluffy duvet and the shower was open to the rest of the bathroom which was fine just rustic. The staff was nice too.

A very nice riad! After a chaotic walk through the city, the perfect place to rest and feel like home. A lovely garden and a nice roof terasse. Location is great, just 2 minutes and you are at djemma el Fna.

“Riad Dar Tamlil is excellent value for money. It's very easy to find, about 200 yards from the main square. Abdul and Hannan, the 2 staff members which we encountered were really friendly and helpful. Our room (no.2) was really spacious and clean. Nice terrace on the roof, where our breakfast was taken. All in all, we had a great break and would highly recommend this Riad. ”

“Great Location, Service and Value for Money!” We have just returned from 5 great nights at the Riad Dar Tamlil, we arrived at about midnight and were greeted by Abdul with Mint Tea before being shown to our room (no. 2). Much to our surprise an electric heater had been left on and the room was lovely and warm. The room itself was very large with a double bed, bathroom with bath and shower which always had plenty of hot water. Breakfast is served on the sunny roof terrace which consisted fresh orange juice, coffee, pastries along with bread, olives, cheese and jam. The Room was cleaned daily and the communal areas were also impeccably clean throughout our stay. The Riad is very centrally located (about 250 yards from Jemaa el fna square) for all major attractions, but still very quiet and relaxing. We also booked a Day Trip into the Atlas mountains with the company recommended by the riad, this turned out to be a great day with very good English speaking guides, As we expected to be tired after out day out, we booked an evening meal at the Riad which was lovely, Abdul had prepared Moroccan Soup, Beef Tagine, followed by sweet pastries and Mint Tea. All in all, we had a lovely 5 nights in Marrakech, made better by out choice of Riad which benefitted from the attentive service given by both Abdul and Hannan. We look forwrtd to our next visit.

A beautiful hostel, only a 2 minute walk from the central square, and the perfect place to stay and explore Marrakech. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and serve a lovely breakfast until 11.30 wherever you like in the hostel; in the courtyard, room or roof terrace. You can also get a great value dinner at the hostel, a 3 course meal that rivaled any restaurant we ate at. A perfect stay.

“Thanks to both the staff at Tamlil. The riad was like a tranquil oasis in the wonderful bedlam of Marrakesh. We loved the pretty tiling, the beautiful courtyard and the rooms were nice and clean with comfy beds and nice bedding. The breakfasts were generous and fresh, and both staff were really accommodating to our needs, I would definitely stay there again.”
